Project ID: SOP HRD 80188
www.calificare-turism.euroed.ro

Goal:

The project aims at developing human capital and increasing economic competitiveness in the North-East Region of Romania by linking lifelong learning to the employment market, especially in the tourism sector in Iasi County, by providing information, counseling and career advice to 50 employees. Also, 60 employees will participate in certified training courses. Another 50 employees will benefit from recognition and validation of the competences and knowledge acquired through non-formal and informal education. The project will have a positive long-term effect by developing a Centre for assessment and certification of the competences acquired through non-formal and informal education. In this Centre employees working in the field of tourism in Iasi will have the opportunity to assess and validate their skills and knowledge. This will not only enhance the development of the human capital but also increase the economic competitiveness of the region.

Objectives:

a) promote and support the access of 110 employees from Iasi County to lifelong education and training with a view to enabling employees to improve their professional profile by providing:

- information, counseling and career advice to 50 employees;
- vocational training for 60 employees – working for different tourism firms (training courses for tourist guides - 30 participants, and guest house managers - 30 participants)
- recognition and validation of the competences and knowledge acquired through non-formal and informal education for 50 employees in the second year of project implementation for the following occupations: guest house managers, waiters, cooks.

b) promote the benefits of lifelong education and vocational training and of the recognition and validation of the skills and knowledge acquired through non-formal and informal education among employees, managers and other interested parties through a dissemination campaign on the training opportunities available to employees in Iasi.
