12 April 2019

Our learners from Alecart Jr. have discovered two of the most famous stories of the XXth century. They engaged in a literary debate analysing different viewpoints and perspectives. A show where meeting book characters provokes you to enter a dialogue with yourself and with the world around you.

Professional Dialogues in April

Our Professional Dialogues are informal professional meetings with our teachers during which we create opportunities to discuss, reflect on our practices and share strategies and ideas. April 2019

In line with our mission statement and our vision in education, each of our students met with their teachers and parents to discuss their academic progress and their attainment this term. This is not a typical parents’ meeting in Romania and we are proud to have broken the ice and offer a different kind of experience to our parents and students. Students presence at this meeting is crucial for taking responsibility and for creating conditions to be fully involved in his/her own education. Thank you all for your positive feedback and involvement.

March 2019 – Year 4 and year 5 Trip

Our Year 4 and Year 5 students (aged 10 – 12) had an excited weekend full of adventure and learning opportunities. They visited several objectives from our capital city, Bucharest (Antipa National Museum, The Experiments House, Brâncoveanu Palace, The Romanian Athenaeum etc) and enjoyed several other tourist objectives on the way (eg. World War I museum, the Muddy Volcanoes). The transition from primary school to secondary school is an important moment in the life of any child and is, more often than not, not given the right attention. EuroEd students, however, successfully bridge this gap with plenty of activities we run together, so that this transition is smooth and eagerly anticipated.

22nd of March 2019 – International Water Day

The International Water Day was celebrated by all of our students with activities which aimed at informing students about the limited water resources we share on the planet and about the people who suffer from acute water shortage. The Ecology Committee of Year 5 organised a contest of carrying water for their younger colleagues to highlight the difficulty faced by children their age who have to travel to carry water daily and thus miss out on school or play time. Today we discussed about the uneven distribution of water resources on our planet, about the negative impact of water shortage or of consuming dirty water and about the ways in which we can all contribute to preserve the planet’s water reserves. We thought of those less fortunate than us and committed to little actions we can all take to save water.
